Which Model Fits Your Shot?
Veo 3.1 is Google’s video model, offering 720p to 4K output, first-and-last-frame control and native audio. Kling 4.0 trades maximum resolution for long, reference-guided scenes.
EveryGen also offers Veo 3.1 Fast and Veo 3.1 Lite for faster or cheaper drafts with the same input modes.

Key Differences
Resolution Versus Length
Veo 3.1 is the choice for 4K delivery, with clip length fixed by the model for each request. Kling 4.0 tops out at 1080p but lets you pick 4–30 seconds.
Control Modes
Veo 3.1 supports text, image, first and last frame, and multi-image reference. Kling 4.0 supports text and a multi-reference mode that also accepts video and audio.
Native Audio
Veo 3.1 generates sound with the picture. Kling 4.0 can follow an audio reference; Studio can add narration and music to either.
Credit Model
Veo 3.1 is priced per clip by resolution, and its Fast and Lite variants cost less. Kling 4.0 is priced per second. Use Lite for drafts and full Veo 3.1 for the final 4K render.

Veo 3.1 vs Kling 3.0
Well, kling 3.0 is good, but, when it comes to sound/voice generation, veo 3.1 is so much better. Kling lipsync is really bad for videos larger than 10 seconds.
via Reddit (u/snapmotion’s post, opens in a new tab) Veo 3.1 Fast and Quality
…getting Veo to do character motion and expressions while doing frame interpolation without messing up real world physics is difficult- both with Fast or Quality models. Infact, sometime 3.1 Fast works better for me.
via Reddit (u/banjaara’s post, opens in a new tab) Veo 3.1
…I create with VEO 3.1 as well, and recently Sora 2. … What they don’t understand is that there is a lot of work that goes in to prompt engineering. … The less ambiguous we are the better veo3 is at creating the master piece we have envisioned.

Even if you somehow get dialogues done, i have noticed weird background noises. Then one needs to reiterate again n again😕

Kling AI
I actually find Klingai to be the best so far. It does make mistakes, it wastes credits because it adds unnecessary objects or people… but when it gets it right, it gets it right. For me, it is better than Google VEO3, although I also use that. …
via Trustpilot (G Wells’s post, opens in a new tab) Kling AI
This is a really good app for creating a video from a single photo or artwork. It doesn't get it right ALL the time but mostly it does a very good job. … my main complaint is you have to pay for the generation before you download it…
via Trustpilot (Alan picton’s post, opens in a new tab) Kling AI
…I love KlingAI! I have had fantastic results and created excellent videos with it. … It is a game of trial and error. Yes, you will loose credits on the way, but it helps you finetune the results. Good AI is not effortless. …
via Trustpilot (Cruella Barbie’s post, opens in a new tab) Veo 3.1 plans
…A big reason why unlimited is needed is because it takes a ton of generations to get anything useable in Veo 3.1 (any version)

Who Should Choose Which
Choose Veo 3.1 If
- You need 4K output.
- You want precise first-and-last-frame transitions.
- You want native audio in the same render.
Choose Kling 4.0 If
- One scene needs to run longer than a standard clip, up to 30 seconds.
- You are guiding the scene with video or audio references.
- You want to pick an exact duration.
Limitations to Consider
Veo 3.1
- No duration picker; length is set by the model.
- Full Veo 3.1 is one of the higher-credit models.
Kling 4.0
- Maximum 1080p.
- No frames or image-to-video modes.
The Verdict
Choose Veo 3.1 when you need the listed 4K output or audio support. Consider Kling 4.0 for a 4–30 second scene with image, video and audio references. These configuration differences do not establish a winner for sound or picture quality.
